Houston Korean American Chamber of Commerce Day Proclaim

 

WHEREAS, the City of Houston benefits greatly from organizations that are committed to cultural enrichment and economic empowerment within our communities. Organizations like the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Houston provide a prime example of our internationalism, which has been a driving force behind the dynamism of our city and continues to be a pillar of our economy: and,

WHEREAS, the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Houston was founded June 19, 1973, to promote economic development in the Korean and Korean American community in greater Houston. The organization provides information, networking and business support services to enterprises of varying size; and ,

WHEREAS, on February 19, 2022, the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Houston will celebrate and recognize its newest board of directors, Korean and Korean American entrepreneurs and other business leaders who have created a significant impact in the community; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Houston commends the Korean American Chamber of Commerce as they collaborate with a diverse group of industries and occupations in their efforts to develop the community and strengthen Houston’s economy and extends best wishes for continued success.

THEREFORE, I, Sylvester Turner, Mayor of the City of Houston, hereby proclaim February 19, 2022, as Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Houston Day in Houston, Texas.
